To give you some ideas on what I can do, here's a true story from July 2019 about a frustrated family.
When I first talked to this family, the wife mentioned several things she needed fixed and asked if I could do them. I told her I could do all the things she mentioned, but that I’d like it if she had a list long enough to keep me busy for the whole day and what was most important to her. I thought she might have 8 or ten things listed, max . . .
So a few days later she sent me “the list of 26” things she wanted me to do that day. Obviously it didn’t all get done the first day, but by the end of day two I had accomplished the first 30 things on the list below (the list - it continued to grow).
Here it is (just as she wrote it to me) . . .
Highest to lowest priority:
(The above 30 things I did in just TWO days! The below things I either couldn’t do because we didn’t have the thing to install yet, or I just ran out of time at the end of the 2nd day.)
(And there was)
31. misc spackling/wall repairs, particularly in daughter's bathroom and kitchen
32. add right-side handrail to front and/or back stairs if possible?
33. mount broom/mop hanger to laundry room wall – do not have this yet
34. install robe hook outside shower in master bathroom (not yet purchased)

Here it is (just as she wrote it to me) . . .
Highest to lowest priority:
- hang corner medicine cabinet in master bathroom (unit is assembled, and mounting hardware was included
- install towel bar on wall in master bathroom (project started, I have the bar itself and have set the measurements, but no studs so need to anchor somehow to hold weight of wet towels)
- hang set of (3) decorative mirrors above buffet in dining room -- spacing is critical to achieve desired effect, so this task is very time-consuming (or at least it was when installed in our previous house)
- repair cabinet door beneath sink in daughter's bathroom (not quite as simple as tightening the screws, as it seems that a small chunk of wood that was holding the hinge in place is missing)
- install curved shower rod in daughter's bathroom (I have purchased the rod, but not yet opened the box to know what hardware is included)
- repair pull out hinged "drawer" beneath kitchen sink, does not open nor close properly
- install/move doorknobs: a.) new-in-box locking knob on main level bathroom (already on-hand), b.) move non-locking main level bath knob to daughter's bathroom c.) & d). switch locking and non-locking knobs between son's bathroom and master bedroom
- repair drawer pull beneath coffee-maker in kitchen (again, not as easy as you would expect... may take some creative expertise!)
- hang mirror in hallway (I think the wire trick you described would work on this one)
- hang mirror in daughter's "doll room" (We have the mirror, but there is no mounting hardware attached! I was thinking of adding those teeth-looking mounts, but you may have better idea. It is kind of heavy and any solution has to be especially safe since the space is used as a little playroom/hideaway.)
- install (2) hand towel rings in master bathroom (not yet purchased)
- repair back-stair handrail (currently loose at wall)
- if possible, reattach (3) stoppers to bathroom sinks (I have what was there, though I believe at least 1 is truly broken and needs to be replaced)
- hang large chalkboard in kitchen
- adjust son's bedroom door strike plate so that it's actually functional? (meaning can stay closed)
- add strike plate to laundry room door
- seal interior of skylight in daughter's bathroom? (the skylight itself was recently replaced and the exterior freshly sealed, but the inside could probably use some work too). (It appears ants can get in it.)
- saw down and mount "short shelf" in guest room closet (I have the shelf and bracket). Attach shelf and then shorten the closet rod and install that too
- Dremel out grout from 2 sides of whirlpool tub and caulk around tub
- create some kind of brace/bracket for kitchen sink? When Elijah replaced the faucet last week, he noted the lack of support built into the counter and was concerned about sagging over time. The sink also needs to be caulked as there is a gap all around the sink between the counter and the sink where water can easily escape to the cabinet below.
- mount paper towel holder to wall in laundry room
- add/replace all door-stoppers in house, approx. 12-15 (I have these)
- if possible, adjust front and back storm doors so that they do not slam closed
- fix blank switch plate hole in master bedroom wall plate
- figure out a way to keep top half of pantry door to close independent of bottom half where door knob is already
- take crystals off entry way light fixture
- fix drier vent inside behind drier
- cover external hole where a drier vent cover should exist (I have this available)
- Paint area in dining room marked by blue tape where painters missed
- Fix under the sink gap between sink bottom and doors so there is not a 3 inch hole anymore
(The above 30 things I did in just TWO days! The below things I either couldn’t do because we didn’t have the thing to install yet, or I just ran out of time at the end of the 2nd day.)
- misc. spackling/wall repairs, particularly in daughter's bathroom and kitchen
- add right-side handrail to front and/or back stairs if possible?
- mount broom/mop hanger to laundry room wall – do not have this yet
- install robe hook outside shower in master bathroom (not yet purchased)
- install grab-bar near whirlpool? (may not have this purchased yet, will check)
- complete installation of missing registers/vents... I have most of the parts already, and in most cases, I hit a snag on those that are not already up... often the sizes of grills changed just slightly and I needed to drill into metal. There are probably 6 or 8 of these that need attention at some point.

- 37. And sadly I'm sure there's more!
